The single most valuable message we get is a squad correction. The player pools are rebuilt from public squad lists at the start of a season and after each transfer window closes, which means that between refreshes they will be behind on deadline-day signings, shirt numbers reassigned in pre-season, and academy players promoted mid-week.

If you have found any of the following, please send it. It gets fixed in the next refresh and it improves the game for everyone playing that league:

• A missing player. Somebody in the first-team squad who does not appear in the search box. Name and club is enough.
• A wrong number. Shirt numbers move more than anything else in the data, and a wrong one makes the shirt clue lie.
• A player who has left. Still listed at a club they no longer play for.
• A misspelt name. Particularly one where the accent has gone missing rather than been transliterated.

Four things make a bug fixable rather than a mystery: what happened, which game and which league you were playing, what device you were on, and which browser. A screenshot of the board beats a description of it, and if the problem is a clue behaving oddly, the exact guess you made is the thing we need most.

If your streak or stats have disappeared, check whether you cleared browser data or switched device or browser. Progress is stored in your own browser rather than an account, so it does not travel and it cannot be restored from our side. The FAQ covers what is kept where.

FootyFox is an independent project and is not connected to UEFA, the Premier League, La Liga or any club. We cannot pass messages to clubs or players, help with tickets, or answer questions about a competition itself.

There is also no account to recover, because there are no accounts. If you want your contact submission deleted, say so in a follow-up message and it will be removed. What we store and why is set out in the privacy policy.

FootyFox is built and maintained by one person, not a support desk. Messages are read, and squad corrections tend to be acted on quickly because they are quick. A reply is not guaranteed and a feature request is not a roadmap. That is the honest version, and it seemed better than promising a response window nobody would meet.
