How To Play

FootyFox is built around one simple idea: make a smart football guess, read the clues, and use the next guess better.

The Daily Challenge

Each league mode has one mystery player per day. Champions League and Premier League are separate challenges, so you can play one or both. Everyone gets the same daily player for the same mode.

You have 10 guesses. Start typing a player name, choose a player from the list, and the board will compare your guess with the hidden answer.

Reading The Board

Every row is a previous guess. Each column tells you whether one part of that player matches the mystery player.

Green

That clue is correct.

Yellow

That clue is close or related.

Blue

That clue does not match.

A Good First Guess

Pick a player you know well, not a random name. A balanced first guess is useful when it covers a clear position, country, club, and shirt number. Even a wrong guess can remove a lot of the board.

After that, avoid guessing the same kind of player again unless the feedback points you there. If country is yellow, think continent. If position is yellow, move one line up or down the pitch. If club is yellow, use the league-specific clue.

What Changes By Game Mode

  • Champions League mode focuses on players from the Champions League pool. A close club clue means the guessed player's club is from the same domestic country as the mystery player's club.
  • Premier League mode adds a region clue. A close club clue means the guessed player's club is in the same region as the answer.
