What a squad page is for

Each page is the full list of players we hold for that club: shirt number, position, nationality and age, sorted by number. That is not a squad we assembled for a reference page, it is the exact pool the daily answer for that club is drawn from, so a club page tells you precisely which players can turn up on the board.

Across all 59 clubs that is 1,527 players, an average squad of 25.9. The biggest is Chelsea at 38, the smallest Getafe at 17, and the gap is mostly academy players: clubs with a deep youth setup register far more of them. 10 of the clubs appear in two of the competitions we cover, so their players can be the answer in either.

Squads are rebuilt at the start of a season and after each transfer window. How the data is sourced, and browse by country instead if that is the angle you want.
