Unlimited Champions League player guessing game

Unlimited Champions League player guessing

The daily challenge gives you one player every 24 hours. Endless mode gives you as many as you want. Every round draws a new mystery player from the same Champions League pool the daily answer comes from, so practising here is practice for the real thing.

How a run works

  1. 1.Solve the mystery player in 10 guesses or fewer.
  2. 2.Every solve extends your run by one. There is no limit.
  3. 3.One miss ends the run and your best score is saved.
  4. 4.Endless never touches your daily streak, so a bad run costs nothing.

The clues are the same

Age, nationality, position, club and shirt number, scored exactly as they are in the daily game. If you want the full rules, the clue guide breaks down what green and yellow mean on each column.

How long the pool lasts

775 players across 29 clubs, and a run never serves the same one twice until it has been through all of them. So a run of 775 is the point at which the rotation starts over, and anything short of that is still new players every round. No country holds more than 10.2 percent of it, so nationality is a strong first guess here.

Practising for the daily

The reason to play endless is that a daily puzzle gives you one attempt at reading a board per day, which is not enough repetitions to get good at it. Ten rounds here teaches you what a yellow age next to a green position actually narrows to, and none of it costs a streak. When a run ends, the answer is worth looking at rather than skipping: the players who beat you are the ones you have a gap on.

Endless in the other leagues

Each league is a separate pool and a separate best run, so a good score in one says nothing about another. The Champions League pool spreads across more countries; La Liga concentrates hard in one.
